mum's right - oil to milk cleanser with hemp & borage oil

£20.00

I hate to break it to ya but your mum’s right: get the hell over it and clean your damn face at night (and throw away those stupid wipes, too). otherwise, you lose your right to complain about your skin ever again.

you’ve probably heard of cleansing oils before, but I’m guessing you’ve never used one because the word “oil” strikes fear in any pimple carrying human.

fast fact: most acne face washes are filled with rough detergents called sulfates, which are the same thing you’d find in your dish soap...I mean, if you’re going to put something on your skin every single day, at least make sure it’s not stressing your skin out.

our oil to milk cleanser isn’t your traditional cleanser... no no... when it touches water, the oily gel transforms into a posh cleansing milk. the toughest makeup and the grime that made it into your pores after a long-ass day don't stand a chance against this all natural cleansing oil.

and, no, the oil won't leave you greasy; it gently cleanses without leaving behind a slick residue. it may sound weird to use oil but, in basic chemistry, “like dissolves like.”

meet the winning duo of our oil to milk cleanser:

hemp: if your skin is inherently dry, irritated, and inflamed, that means you need to treat it gently and load it up with moisture to help decrease breakouts, and hemp does just that.

borage oil: superfood for sensitive skin, it nurtures it back to resilient, glowing health. when your skin is red, dry, sore and prone to breakouts, borage oil helps repair and strengthen it.

Life changing

This cleanser has saved my skin! I’m on a lot of changing medications for chronic illness which make my normally great skin flare up with acne and redness. This totally calms my face down, would not be without it! I use twice daily, perfect with the makeup remover pads but strong enough to remove makeup on its own.

Can I come back later - it’s a gift - not opened yet!

Bought for my daughter for Christmas - has quite reactive skin and hoping will work for her. Bit disconcerted about the ‘shinkly bits’ I can see through the pot! Not something I expected in a cleanser but time will tell I suppose (after Christmas)…

Trust me, after Christmas, you will be restocking this! In good hands Julie, in good hands...

Saved my skin

Thanks to the joy of perimenopsuse my skin suddenly became hypersenstive, rejected all the products I've been using for years, and I got very angry, red perioral dermatitis all round my mouth. Lovely. After trying numerous (often expensive) products to calm it I bought Mum's Right, and it calmed it right down within 24 hours. In combination with Oh Boy Moisturiser it's finally fixed it altogether. A brilliant product. Just bought my second pot so it'll be my daily cleanser from now on.

A clever little cleanser

I'm a real sucker for clary sage and geranium and to me, these are the most dominant scents in this cleanser - making it a green, slightly earthy, herbal-floral scent. I've used oil cleansers as part of my routine for around 15 years now and I extol their virtues on anyone who'll listen. This MBS pot is no exception. It's lost one star only because it's not a deep cleanser and takes little work to lift long-wear makeup. For this reason I wouldn't recommend using around the eyes (you don't want to be rubbing and scrubbing that sensitive skin to free up lid primer or waterproof mascara) and a separate make-up remover is required to keep things light and gentle. Otherwise, as I say, it's quite lovely and leaves skin feeling nourished and fresh.

Hi Xolly,

Thank you so much fir your feedback! I'm so happy to hear you've been enjoying the cleanser. When wearing makeup, make sure you wet your face first before applying the cleanser as this way the makeup will be melted. Don't hesitate to double cleanse using the mum's right twice if you're wearing a full face of makeup. Another tip would be to use our magic eraser to remove your makeup first then use the cleanser.

Hope this helps! Anything else, let us know please.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Chaymae

Gorgeous Green Goop!

It's such a joy to use, slightly sparkly green gloopy stuff. Wasn't quite sure how to use it. You can ask or there's a video showing you, but I like this info on the product. Its very thick and I found it hard to spread on my face at first, was tempted to use wet fingers to give a little slip or more product but it's not needed - as it warmed up, I was able to cover my whole face using just a small amount so I'm confident it'll last a while and therefore great value. Easy to add a tiny bit of water and emulsify. Easy to wash away, no residue on the skin after. Have since used it as a mask too and my skin was much softer. Love it.
